PTA
.

Be in the PTA
Get involved. Stay Involved.
Make a difference.

Thank you so much for visiting the PTA website! This is the first step in becoming an active member of your child's education and supporting our school. The goal of the PTA is to build meaningful partnerships between families and schools and the community at large. We are to support the educational success, health and well-being of all children.

PTA is a membership organization, comprised of the parents and teachers of Porter. We rely on our members to contribute their time and skills to our school community. Every individual who joins PTA is giving something to not only his child, but to every child.

Porter relies on the commitment and involvement of our dedicated parents. Parents can join the
PTA by paying $10 per family. This membership fee helps support the financial needs of the organization.  Make checks payable to the Porter PTA, complete the PTA Membership Form (a copy can be found in the office and under forms at the bottom of this page) and return it to your child’s teacher.

Thank you for choosing to support this wonderful organization.

Volunteer Opportunities
Fulfill your volunteer commitment  but more importantly, support your child's school.  The PTA can keep you up-to-date on opportunities to contribute hours to the school, inside and outside the classroom. Contact the event chairs for ways to help with upcoming events or contact Tamra Pumpelly at porterpta@gmail.com for more information. We always have something for you to help with!

Meetings
Our meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of the month and are held in the library. They are posted on the school calendar. All members are encouraged to attend.  If you want to know what is going on in our school, have an idea, or want to help, attend a meeting!  For each meeting that you attend you will receive .5 volunteer hours. Minutes are usually posted within one week of the last meeting for those members unable to attend and can be found in the minutes folder at the bottom of the page.

In an effort to go green, because we think that is the responsible thing to do, we will only be sending home each flyer ONE time. All other information can be found on the website or in the front office. If you need help finding something, please don't hesitate to email or call one of us!

Please if you have questions or comments or just need a little direction, we are here to help! You can always contact us by phone or email. We are happy to be serving our school and the community at large! Thank you in advance for your support and dedication to our school.
